Dr Geoff Coughlin is Australias most experienced and highest volume robotic surgeon. He has performed over 2000 robotic operations. He is an Australian trained urologist who subspecialises in prostate disease, prostate cancer, kidney cancer and robotic surgery. He commenced the robotic prostatectomy programs in Brisbane, Queensland at both the Royal Brisbane and Wesley Hospitals. Prior to this he was trained by the world leader in robotic prostatectomy Dr Vip Patel at the Global Robotics Institute in America for 2 years where he gained operative experience in over 1000 robotic prostatectomies.

He
co-authored the first Australian series of robotic partial nephrectomy (removal of kidney tumour with preservation of the kidney) and runs Australia’s advanced robotic urology training course for this procedure at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

Dr Coughlin also presented the first Australian series of robotic radical cystectomy at the 2012 National Bladder and Kidney Cancer Symposium.

He specialises in providing individualised care for patients utilising the latest available investigations and treatments.

Dr Geoff Coughlin is able to see and treat all patients promptly following referral. He is happy to see patients for second opinions. He offers telehealth consultations via Skype and phone consultations also.
